One of the best things about ZooLab has got to be working with an incredible team! Each month, Ranger Anna will interview a member of the ZooLab family.
This month we will be speaking to Team Leader, Heather Pearce.
Hi Heather, how long have you worked for ZooLab?
10 years this year! I can't believe that it has nearly been a decade.
What is your role in the company?
I am the team leader for the South West and South East teams - this means that I look after around 15 members of staff.
What is something you love about working for ZooLab?
That every day is different. It is amazing to see how ZooLab can make someones day through meeting and learning about our animals.
Not to mention the amazing people I have met over the years working for ZooLab.Â
With ZooLab, everyday is different! Can you think of a day which was completely out of the ordinary for you?
That is a tricky one! Days spent in exciting venues that are a bit different are always a stand out. In particular, Carisbrooke Castle on the beautiful Isle of Wight and doing a Halloween session at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.Â
Tell us a little bit about yourself! If you had to describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?
Friendly. Organised. Happy.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?Â
A cat!Â
What's your favourite film and why?
Nativity, little bit festive but such a feel good film!Â
Do you have any pets?
I have a Ragdoll cat called Ralph, he will be 3 in February! He has the best moustache!
Â
If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Italian food, does that count?Â
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Retire! Then do voluntary work with animals or children!Â
