The Big Bang Fair 2025
ZooLab's team is skilled at creating custom sessions tailored to your specifications and business goals. Over the last year, we have had the pleasure of working with Engineering UK to create a new STEM workshop, Biomimicry.
We deliver this on their behalf, utilising our nationwide network of educational presenters and access to schools.
In June, we delivered Biomimicry to over 20,000 students, igniting curiosity and inspiring future STEM workers, and empowering the next generation with innovative ideas and boundless potential

Engineering UK
Engineering UK drives change, encouraging more young people to choose engineering and technology careers. Their mission is to enable more young people from all backgrounds to be informed, inspired and progress into engineering and tech.
Our creatures allowed students an up-close look at the animals that are inspiring engineers to help us humans.
Led by ZooLab's expert animal presenters, pupils meet the likes of lizards, frogs, tarantulas, cockroaches, and snakes as they learn about the real work engineers are doing to create new materials, robots, and technologies.
Through fun experiments and animal encounters, participants will discover how snake venom is being used in medications, how gecko feet have inspired new adhesive tapes and how cockroaches inspired robots could assist in natural disasters.
This workshop is designed to meet Gatsby benchmarks and encourages young people to consider STEM fields for further education and career opportunities.

"The biomimicry aspect was particularly engaging, as the students were fascinated by how various inventions are inspired by nature."
