My name means ‘glowing’. I’m from the tropical rainforest of Southeast Asia.

I love the outdoors!

These scorpions spend their time on the forest floor, beneath logs and will even burrow into the soil.

I can ‘feel’ the space around me.

Asian forest scorpions don't see well, so they rely on touch. Stiff hairs on their body are used to sense their environment.

I can be a bit grumpy.

Asian forest scorpions have little venom but can be more aggressive than some other species of scorpions.

I have difficulty making friends.

The Asian Forest scorpion is not a social animal and likes to be alone.

I shine bright!

Scorpions glow brightly under ultraviolet light.
