MEET THE RANGERS
THE BRIEF
The team at the Wimbledon Museum
have a good relationship with the local community and have a bustling diary of social events throughout the year.
They wanted to utilise word of mouth to engage families in the local area to interact with them as a local community hub.
"The session was a huge success. The animals really helped bring the story to life and
gave our visitors an
experience they are
unlikely to forget!”

WIMBLEDON MUSEUM
THE SOLUTION
The museum had some taxidermies of a badger, peacock, trout, bat, red squirrel, stoat and duckling.
Using our exotic animals as a tool, we created a bespoke script that linked each of our animals to one in the museum.
The children were excited to see ZooLab's exotic animals and after the session, go and explore the museum space to find these other animals too.
THE RESULT
We preformed four sessions over two days were all sold out. As a result, easter traffic to the museum was up.
The museum were delighted by the demand and appeal for a ticketed ZooLab event, bringing visitors from as far as Southwark.
Our bespoke workshop, created especially for
The Wimbledon Museum enhanced their own collection.
Our ZooLab animals helped encourage visitors to further explore the museum and find the stuffed animals amongst their displays.

OVERVIEW:
A very important rule for living things is that they need to stay alive (or else they wouldn’t be living things)!

This workshop emphasises what we need to do to look after animals, plants and the planet. Exploring the diverse requirements of a range of ZooLab animals, we discover that often creatures need the same core things to survive; food, water, oxygen and protection/shelter.
Using active learning techniques and building on prior knowledge this value driven show in teaches respect for all living things.
